In this tour you are going on to witness the three of the best  wild life parks in Sri Lanka Willpaththu, Minneriya and Yala for elephants, Leopards and other animals. Horton Plains trek-Nuwara-eliya,Blue wale and Dolphin watching in Mirissa,   Hikkaduwa coral reef tour and Madu ganga boat safari are some of adventures wild life tours in this itinerary.

Day Plan

  • Transfer to Negombo hotel depend on arrival time or directly transfer to Wilpaththu.
  • Afternoon Safari at Wilpaththu National Park
  • Return to the Hotel & Overnight Stay at Wilpaththu

ANURADHAPURA – FIRST ANCIENT CAPITAL OF SRI LANKA
Anuradhapura , the first capital of Sri Lanka in the 4th century BC , is one of the most significant and ancient cities in Sri Lanka, renowned for its well-preserved ruins of an ancient civilization and its importance in the history of Buddhism. It is a UNESCO World Heritage site and situated in the North Central Province of Sri Lanka. Anuradhapura was the center of Sri Lankan civilization for over 1,300 years, starting from around the 4th century BC and was a major political and religious hub. The city is especially significant to Buddhists, and large no of religious monuments related to the arrival and spread of Buddhism in Sri Lanka can be witnessed there.

SIGIRIYA ROCK FORTRESS
After breakfast proceed to Sigiriya – a UNESCO world heritage site and the famous attraction is Sigiriya Lion Rock fortress which is considered as the 8th archaeological wonder of the world by some experts. It’s a testament of Sri Lanka’s city planning, advanced irrigation systems which brought water to the top of rock , water gardens with fountains and engineering marvels in the 5th century AD.

  • Village safari and lunch After fortress visit proceed to Village safari with Lunch (Include Village walk , bullock cart ride, boat ride in a lake, authentic village lunch )

DAMBULLA CAVE TEMPLE
Dambulla Cave Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a famous attraction, is the largest and best-preserved cave temple complex in Sri Lanka, dating back to the 2nd century BC. Although there are documented 80 no of caves , major attractions are spread over five caves, which contain statues and paintings related to Buddha and his life.

SPICE HUB AT MATALE
When travel from Dambulla to Kandy you can visit spice gardens in Matale city which is considered as the Spice hub of Sri Lanka with large and small scale spice gardens and processing plants. Also you can learn uses and benefits of each spices and even taste them , test health care and skin care products during this one hour tour.

KANDY; THE LAST KINGDOM OF SRI LANKA
Kandy is the last Kingdom of Sri Lanka and one of the most visited beautiful and exciting place in Sri Lanka by foreign tourists and famous for the most sacred Temple of the Tooth relic shrine . It is located in the Royal Palace Complex of the former Kingdom of Kandy, which houses the relic of the tooth of Buddha from 1600 AD. One of the Island most famous tourist attraction, Kandy Esala Perahera , also known as The Procession of the Tooth relic is held in July and August in Kandy.

PERADENIYA ROYAL BOTONICAL GARDEN VIST AND TEA FACTORY VISIT
En-route to Nuwara-Elia visit Peradeniya Botanical Garden , The garden includes more than 4000 species of plants, including orchids, spices, medicinal plants and palm trees. The origins of the Botanic Gardens date as far back as 1371 during Sri Lankan kings and later , The Botanical Garden at Peradeniya was formally established in 1843 by British rulers. The total area of the botanical garden is 147 acres and a must visit place in Kandy. After garden visit proceed to Nuwara Eliya.

NUWARA ELIYA
Nuwara Eliya is a picturesque city located in an altitude of around 1,868 m above sea level in the central highlands of Sri Lanka. It is renowned for its cool climate, lush greenery, and stunning landscapes. It is often referred as “Little England” due to its colonial-era architecture and English countryside feel, Nuwara Eliya is a popular tourist destination known for its tea plantations, scenic waterfalls, and recreational activities

HORTON PLANES
After an early breakfast, you will proceed to the exciting Horton Plains trek that starts at 6.30 am. Horton Plains is a stunning national park in Sri Lanka. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is renowned for its breath-taking landscapes, wildlife, and hiking trails. It’s a biodiversity hotspot with rare species of birds, insects, flowers and home to unique plants and animals, including the Horton Plains slender loris and Sambar deer.

YALA NATIONAL PARK
Yala National Park, located in South-Eastern Sri Lanka, is one of a premier destination in Asia for wildlife enthusiasts. GALLE FORT TOUR
Galle Fort is a renowned UNESCO world heritage site stands as a testament to the island’s colonial past, architectural splendours and vibrant culture. It’s originated in 16th century by the Portuguese during their colonial expansion in the Indian Ocean. The fortifications were further fortified and expanded by the Dutch in 17th century. Over the years, Galle Fort evolved into a thriving hub of trade, culture, attracting merchants and sailors across the globe.

MIRISSA DOLPHIN AND WHALE WATCHING
Mirissa is 15mins distance from your hotel and is a key whale and dolphin watching hotspot in the country and can witness the movements of Sperm whales, Bryde’s whales and dolphins. Among the species of dolphins, you may see the Bottlenose dolphins, Spinner dolphins, Risso’s dolphins, and Striped dolphins. November to April is the best season for this tour and it will take approximately 3 – 4 hrs in boat ride.

HIKKADUWA COASTAL TOWN
Hikkaduwa, a popular Sothern coastal town in Sri Lanka, is renowned for surfing and coral reefs It’s a home to a well-known coral sanctuary that attracts snorkelers and divers from all part of the world. The Hikkaduwa Coral Reef is rich in marine life, including colourful corals, tropical fish, and sometimes sea turtles. Snorkelling and glass bottom boat ride can use to explore this vibrant underwater ecosystem just off the coast.

Bentota is a popular coastal resort city and famous for beautiful beaches , lush greenery gardens and many more activities. After long journey on previous days Bentota is the ideal place for you to relax in beach , therapeutic spa treatment or engaging exciting water activities in the sea , river safari at Maduganga , visit Turtle hatchery etc. Also you can shop around antique boutiques for traditional ornaments and unique pieces of jewellery to get as elegant souvenirs.

MADU GANGA RIVER SAFARI
Madu River is a scenic river close to Bentota with unique and diverse biodiversity.Embark on an unforgettable boat ride through this enchanting lagoon, renowned for its 64 islands and rich biodiversity. You’ll visit Cinnamon Island, where you can witness the traditional cinnamon manufacturing process. Marvel at rural fishermen in their traditional catamarans and experience a unique fish therapy session.

KOSGODA TURTLE HATCHERY
Kosgoda stands out as a heaven for nature lovers and conservationists, where renowned sea turtle conservation project led by the Wild Life Protection Society of Sri Lanka located there. The project is dedicated to protect Sri Lanka’s endangered turtle species from extinction.

This is the last day of your ‘Wild Life Adventure’ tour in this lovely paradise . After having a lavish spread of breakfast at the hotel get ready for departure.
In Case the departure flight due in late night, you can ask late checkout from hotel and you can shop around Colombo City until your departure time from hotel.
This will be the end of an exciting, fun-filled and memorable tour in Sri Lanka. Hope to see you in next year too to explore the unexplored part of this Isle of paradise.

  • All visitors must wear decent clothing to cover the body appropriately when visiting religious places. Shorts , sleeveless tops , hats, caps, shoes are not acceptable when entering to such sites.
