ARANKELE BUDDHIST MONASTERY
The Arankale Buddhist Monastery, located in Sri Lanka, is an ancient monastic complex renowned for its serene environment and historical significance. Nestled within a forested area, it reflects the traditional architectural style and spiritual practices of early Theravāda Buddhism in Sri Lanka. It stands as a testament to the spiritual heritage of Sri Lanka and attracts archaeologists, historians, and spiritual seekers alike.

IBBANKATUWA MEGALITHIC TOMB COMPLEX
En-route near to Dambulla you can visit Ibbankatuwa Megalathic tomb complex dated back to 700 – 400 B.C, which is an ancient burial site and thought to belong to the megalithic prehistoric and protohistoric periods of Sri Lanka and is considered as one of several ancient burial sites that have been found in the country.

SIGIRIYA ROCK FORTRESS & VILLAGE SAFARI
Sigiriya is a UNESCO world heritage sites and the famous attraction is Sigiriya Lion Rock fortress which is considered as the 8th archaeological wonder of the world by some experts. It’s a testament of Sri Lanka’s city planning, advanced irrigation systems which brought water to the top of rock , water gardens with fountains and engineering marvels in the 5th century AD. Also you can see the beautiful frescoes and the fascinating mirror wall of the rock fortress.

Day Plan

  • After early breakfast leave for Sigiriya Rock fortress
  • After fortress visit proceed to Village safari with Lunch (Include bullock cart ride, boat ride in a lake , authentic village lunch )
  • Checking to hotel and relax in the hotel

ANURADHAPURA – FIRST ANCIENT CAPITAL OF SRI LANKA
Anuradhapura , the first capital of Sri Lanka in the 4th century BC , is one of the most significant and ancient cities in Sri Lanka, renowned for its well-preserved ruins of an ancient civilization and its importance in the history of Buddhism. It is a UNESCO World Heritage site and situated in the North Central Province of Sri Lanka. Anuradhapura was the center of Sri Lankan civilization for over 1,300 years, starting from around the 4th century BC and was a major political and religious hub.
The city is especially significant to Buddhists, and large no of religious monuments related to the arrival and spread of Buddhism in Sri Lanka can be witnessed there.

  • Early morning start the day with Yoga session
  • Proceed to Anuradhapura after breakfast

DAMBULLA CAVE TEMPLE
Dambulla Cave Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a famous attraction, is the largest and best-preserved cave temple complex in Sri Lanka, dating back to the 2nd century BC. Although there are documented 80 no of caves , major attractions are spread over five caves, which contain statues and paintings related to Buddha and his life.

SPICE HUB AT MATALE
When travel from Dambulla to Kandy you can visit spice gardens in Matale city which is considered as the Spice hub of Sri Lanka with large and small scale spice gardens and processing plants. Also you can learn uses and benefits of each spices and even taste them , test health care and skin care products during this one hour tour.

KANDY; THE LAST KINGDOM OF SRI LANKA
Kandy is the last Kingdom of Sri Lanka and one of the most visited beautiful and exciting place in Sri Lanka by foreign tourists and famous for the most sacred Temple of the Tooth relic shrine . It is located in the Royal Palace Complex of the former Kingdom of Kandy, which houses the relic of the tooth of Buddha from 1600 AD. One of the Island most famous tourist attraction, Kandy Esala Perahera , also known as The Procession of the Tooth relic is held in July and August in Kandy.

Day Plan

  • Early morning 6.30PM visit nearby temple for “ Dana Puja” (offering of foods for Buddhist monks ) and get their blessing
  • Return to hotel and Checkout from the hotel after breakfast
  • Visit Dambulla Cave Temple
  • En route Visit Spice Gardens in Matale which is the Spice hub of Sri lanka. Can visit spice plantations and processing centers
  • Checking to hotel in Kandy
  • Evening Experience the Vibrant Kandy Cultural Show of traditional Sri Lankan dances and pageantry.
  • Have the dinner and unwind into the night at a local pub, where you can mingle with the locals.

PINNAWALA ELEPHANT ORPHANAGE
En-route to Bentota visit Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage , one of Sri Lanka’s most popular tourist attractions and the orphanage provides sanctuary for orphaned, injured, and abandoned elephants. It’s a home to one of the largest captive elephant herds in the world, with over 90 elephants of various ages. Today, it also serves as a breeding center and promotes elephant conservation/

  • Check out from the Hotel & Proceed to Bentota after kandy city tour. You can visit Gem shops, traditional art and craft centers , historical
  • buildings during this tour.
  • En-route Visit Tea factory with tea plantation and tea tasting
    Visit Pinnawala elephant orphanage

Also you have optional activities like River safari at Maduganga , visit Turtle hatchery etc or you can just relax in the beach

MADU GANGA RIVER SAFARI
Madu River is a scenic river close to Bentota with unique and diverse biodiversity. Embark on an unforgettable boat ride through this enchanting lagoon, renowned for its 64 islands and rich biodiversity. You’ll visit Cinnamon Island, where you can witness the traditional cinnamon manufacturing process. Marvel at rural fishermen in their traditional catamarans and experience a unique fish therapy session.

KOSGODA TURTLE HATCHERY
Kosgoda stands out as a heaven for nature lovers and conservationists, where renowned sea turtle conservation project led by the Wild Life Protection Society of Sri Lanka located there. The project is dedicated to protect Sri Lanka’s endangered turtle species from extinction.

  • After breakfast visit nearby Turtle hatchery at Kosgoda
  • After visit proceed to Madu Ganga River Safari.
  • Water sport in Bentota
  • Check in to the same hotel in Bentota in the afternoon

This is the last day of your “ Discover inner peace “ tour in this paradise island. After having a lavish spread of breakfast at the hotel get ready for departure.
In Case the departure flight due in late night we will arrange Colombo city tour as well as to visit places of important until departure time.
This will be the end of an exciting, fun-filled and memorable tour in Sri Lanka. Hope to see you in next year too to explore the unexplored part of this Isle of paradise.
